Truancy Solutions Partnership

In collaboration with school districts in Greater Danbury, DYS works with truant students and their families to connect them with resources and alternative activities in an effort to engage youth and break down the barriers that prevent them from attending school. DYS can facilitate a system of supports and services that are individualized to the needs of the students and their families. DYS provides weekly case management, referrals to appropriate services and connections to skill building resources empowering youth to explore educational or vocational opportunities.

Who Can Participate?

A student identified as truant has either 4 unexcused absences in any one month or 10 unexcused absences in the current school year.
